Farmers' movement in Tatarstan is 30 years old

A solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the farming movement in the republic was held today in Tatarstan.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov recalled that exactly 30 years ago, the first 254 farmers began their work in the republic with the support of the first President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.

In the same years, the Association of Peasant Farms of the Republic was created, which accompanies and helps farmers in their work. Today the Association of Farmers headed by Kamiyar Baitemirov is a member of AKKOR Russia. Now in Tatarstan there are already about 4 thousand farmers who, together with their private farmsteads, produce half of the republican volume of agricultural products. Farmers receive over 2 billion rubles of state support annually. Thanks to the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, 40 different programs for the development of rural areas are being implemented.

"The further development of the farmer and cooperative movement is one of the most important tasks that we face," said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Marat Zyabbarov from the bottom of his heart congratulated all farmers of the republic on their 30th anniversary and thanked them for such a difficult and important work, wishing them success in all their endeavors.

Also, kind words addressed to farmers were voiced today on behalf of Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Vice-President of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia Olga Bashmachnikova, Executive Director of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia Andrey Likhachev, head of Kukmorsky district Sergey Dimitriev, president of the Association of farmers, peasant farmsteads and agricultural consumer cooperatives of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamiyar Baitemirov and other responsible persons.
