News from the fields: The situation with winter crops is taken under control of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to the preservation of the fertility of land and winter crops, as well as perennial grasses in the winter.
According to the operative information of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of January 11, for the harvest of 2021, winter crops were sown on an area of 552 thousand hectares. Of these - 435 thousand hectares of winter wheat and 111.5 thousand hectares of winter rye.
This year 42% of the area is sown with original and elite seeds. The condition of more than 98% of winter crops is assessed as good. 94 thousand hectares of winter crops are insured.
The height of the snow cover in the fields of the republic is 23-52 cm, in the Aznakaevsky and Bugulma regions - 17-19 cm.
Specialists of the branch "Rosselkhoztsentr" in the Republic of Tatarstan selectively surveyed the sowing of winter crops in order to determine the general condition of the fields.
Wintering of winter crops takes place in good weather conditions. There is also a high (26-36%) sugar content in the tillering nodes, which should ensure their safety by the beginning of the growing season.
