Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov reported on the results of the work of the livestock industry for 11 months of this year and the current situation in milk production today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting was held via videoconference with all municipalities by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.
The revenue of agricultural enterprises for 11 months amounted to about 107 billion rubles, with an increase of 12%. The livestock sector accounts for 63% - 67.3 billion rubles. Including from the sale of milk - 28 billion rubles, cattle and poultry meat - 34.6 billion rubles. In total, for 11 months of 2020, 1 million 296 thousand tons of milk (an increase of 5%), 376 thousand tons of cattle and poultry meat (an increase of 3%) were produced.
As of December 1, the number of cattle in the republic amounted to 689 thousand heads. By the same period in 2019, the livestock decreased by 18 thousand heads. The reason is the improvement of the milking herd and the renewal of the livestock for a more productive one.
The construction of dairy complexes continues in the republic. In 2020, 16 facilities were commissioned for 6.5 thousand heads. In 2021-2022, the implementation of 19 investment projects for 23 thousand heads will continue and it is planned to build 10 new dairy complexes for 9 thousand heads.
Separately, the minister reported on milk production. Every day, agricultural enterprises of the republic produce more than 3 thousand 600 tons of milk, which is 5% more than in 2019. Milk yield per 1 cow is 16.6 kg. The daily income of agricultural producers of the republic from the sale of milk is over 95 million rubles - an increase of 12%. In December, it is expected to receive an income of 2.8 billion rubles from the sale of milk. As of December 23, the selling price of milk was 30 rubles 25 kopecks per 1 kg with VAT - this is the highest purchase price in the Volga Federal District.
Marat Zyabbarov added that tomorrow, December 27, the cities will host the final agricultural fairs - the sixteenth in a row. In total, products worth 1 billion rubles were delivered to the autumn fairgrounds.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the organizers of the fairs, as well as farmers and agricultural enterprises who took an active part in these events. “The fairs are very much needed. Our citizens have the opportunity to purchase high quality agricultural products at affordable prices. It is a huge work of the districts, very painstaking work”, the President added.
