The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan invites you to take part in the national competition of regional brands "Tastes of Russia"

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan informs that the first national competition of regional brands of food "Tastes of Russia" has started in Russia. Its main mission is to acquaint consumers with the variety of tastes in Russia and show the development potential of regional food brands.

The competition is intended to draw attention to the achievements of small and medium-sized businesses in the field of the agro-industrial complex and to help create new points of growth and development drivers for rural areas of Russian regions. The governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, regional industry unions, associations of producers and agricultural consumer cooperatives can take part in the event.

The competition is held in 4 stages:

from October 7 to November 9 - Start of the competition and acceptance of applications

from November 10 to November 30 - Evaluation of applications

from November 19 to December 2 - Vote

from December 9 to December 20 - Announcement of the finalists

Products can be presented in 8 categories:

 

“For the whole country” (brands included in the register of appellations of origin of goods);

“From our village” (the population of the territory is up to 3 thousand people);

"Tasty near" (the population of the territory is up to 30 thousand people);

"Try it, you'll love it" (territory of a separate constituent entity of the Russian Federation);

"Fair of Taste" (a group of products, the territory of origin of which is the territory of several constituent entities of the Russian Federation);

“We are elected” (winner of the popular vote);

"Look at the light" (brands that have prospects for the development of the tourist potential of the territory);

“Taste without Borders” (brands with export potential).

Thus, Rosselkhozbank will support the development of regional brands through the "Look at the Light" nomination for products that are attractive for gastro tourism. The Bank will also issue cards featuring regional brands. This was announced by Irina Zhachkina, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Rosselkhozbank, on October 8. During the event, Irina Zhachkina spoke about the growing role of farm products in agriculture and its contribution to the quality nutrition of Russians.

“In the modern world, promoting the products of farmers and agricultural producers to markets and retail chains is becoming more and more important. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is actively working in this direction, and it is very good that various programs and competitions appear to promote this. It is worthy of respect that the bank, the main one for the agrarians, was involved in this. We honor our traditions and are proud of national dishes and products, we want them to be known all over the world, ”said Nail Zalakov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

All brands that took part in the competition will become part of a set of activities to promote and support regional food brands.
