The reclamation complex located on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the most developed in the country
This was announced during a seminar-meeting on land reclamation, held in Kazan with the participation of Dmitry Sorokin - Director of the Land Reclamation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
The event was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov with the participation of heads and agronomists of farms included in the republican melioration program.
Opening the seminar, Marat Zyabbarov noted that in Tatarstan the area of farmland makes 4.5 million hectares, of which arable land is 3.5 million hectares, including irrigated arable land - 169 thousand hectares. The gross agricultural output in all categories of farms reached 242 billion rubles in 2019, a comparable growth of 104%. The republic fully meets the needs of the population for its own food production. In 2019, the republic harvested 4.5 million tons of grain, the gross harvest of sugar beet is more than 2.8 million tons, the harvest of potatoes is 1.2 million tons, vegetables are 340 thousand tons. All vegetables in the fields of the republic are grown on irrigated lands with the help of ameliorators, since vegetables practically do not grow without watering. This year the volume of state support for the development of land reclamation will amount to 890 million rubles.
Mars Khismatullin, director of the Tatmeliovodkhoz Department, spoke about the development of irrigation in the republic over the past 10 years, starting with the abnormally dry 2010. During this time, more than 450 ponds were brought into a standard technical condition, more than 15 thousand hectares of irrigated land were reconstructed, including over 700 hectares of intensive drip irrigation orchards laid for the development of the fruit and berry cluster, more than 30 thousand hectares of irrigated land were restored ... “The yield on irrigated land is 3-4 times higher, and the production cost is 2 or more times lower. 1 ruble of direct costs for irrigation provides additional products worth more than 12 rubles, ”noted Mars Khismatullin.
Dmitry Sorokin noted that "the reclamation complex located on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the most developed in the country, the work done in the republic is impressive." At the end of 2019, the planned indicators of the departmental program "Development of the Land Reclamation Complex of Russia" were fulfilled and exceeded by the republic's ameliorators. The pace gained in the current year, according to the director of the Department of Melioration of the Ministry of Agriculture, makes it possible to predict the execution on time of all the events planned on the territory of Tatarstan.
Also during the seminar, it was noted that annually in Tatarstan about 3 thousand hectares of irrigated land, equipped with locally produced equipment, are introduced. Acquaintance with the production of Kazanka irrigation machines was the next point in the practical part of the seminar.
As noted by the general director of the enterprise Ramil Idrisov, the Kazan irrigation equipment plant has developed and is producing a wide-grip circular sprinkler "Kazanka". The machine was created based on the advanced world experience in the production of irrigation systems, and is not inferior in quality and characteristics to imported counterparts. The standard length of the machine, with a seven-section design, is 444 meters, while the irrigated area is 64 hectares.
The installation can irrigate all types of crops and has special nozzles that form fine rain, which ensures uniform irrigation. There is a possibility of reverse movement - the machine can move both clockwise and in the opposite direction, regulate and alternate watering, taking into account the placement of different crops on the site. The plant's capacities allow producing more than 300 cars per year.
Also, the participants of the seminar examined the Arskaya, Laishevskaya, Narmonskaya irrigation systems, irrigated fields of the agricultural firm "Kyrlay" and the experimental fields of the Kazan Agrarian University.
