162 applicants who received state support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan within the National Project "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives" this year are engaged in horse breeding and beekeeping, raise marketable fish, grow vegetables, and also work in meat and dairy farming.

The latter direction was also chosen by Adel Khamitov from Alkeevsky district. His dairy project for 45 cows received support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan in the amount of 4.997 million rubles.

“I learned about the Agrostartup project when I was a student at Kazan State Agrarian University. I became interested in the program's opportunities, and the idea to open my own business appeared. After graduation, I returned home and started working as an economist at the Yash Kuch society. Having gained some experience in agriculture, I decided to participate in the Agrostartup competition, - the farmer recalls.

At the time of participation in the program, a farm building had already been built and there were milking installations in the village of Verkhneye Alkeevo. Adel Khamitov plans to purchase 45 Holstein-Friesian heifers from Udmurtia using the grant funds.

“This breed of cows produces over 30 liters of milk per day. We plan to sell the products to the procurement center of the entrepreneur Damir Shaikhutdinov, ”Adel Khamitov shares his plans.

Today, the farm is stocking up on fodder: 500 bales of hay and 550 tons of haylage have already been delivered. The farmer plans to increase milk production to 220 tons per year and increase the number of cows to 100 heads.

“I love the village. Since childhood, I have been helping my father, so I am familiar with work in agriculture. Now there are all conditions and opportunities for living in the countryside. Fortunately, the state provides various measures of support to young professionals who want to start their own business. I would like to wish young people to stay in the region - let's develop our native land together! ”, - says Adel Khamitov.
