Today, the Union of Russian Milk Producers and the Milknews news agency, together with JSC Russian Export Center, held a webinar entitled “Development of Export of Dairy Products from Russia to China. Measures to support export logistics along the Russia-China export corridor in the context of restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic”.
The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, dairy producers of the republic, potential and current exporters of dairy products.
The moderator of the webinar was SOYUZMOLOKO Director General Artyom Belov.
Experts of dairy industry, specialists from logistics companies, representatives of Chinese importers and the Russian Export Center discussed routes, volumes and filling supplies, logistics solutions and measures to support the supply of products to China.
Artyom Belov noted that 3 key products have the biggest potential for export to China today: drinking milk, yoghurts and cheeses. The parties also discussed the interest of Chinese provinces in the supply of dairy products, lot sizes and container shipments.
Denis Kazannikov, head of the project to support the export of agro-industrial complex of the REC Group, said that agribusiness companies have the opportunity to display their products at a specialized showroom in Shanghai for free, and the specialized exhibitions planned for September and November in China will help establish business contacts.
Deputy Director General of JSC Russian Railways Logistics Ivan Mostyaev spoke about the organization of land routes of Agroexpresses Russia-China. He presented the services of the logistics operator JSC Russian Railways Logistics and the possibility of regional picking up single containers along the Agroexpress route, indicating possible regions, including the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan).
Earlier the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan reported that Tatarstan exporters can receive compensation up to 90% of the costs associated with certification of agricultural products in foreign markets.
Subsidies are subject to the costs of Russian exporters to assess the conformity of agricultural products to the requirements presented on foreign markets, conduct veterinary and phytosanitary measures, transport, store, test and utilize test samples, as well as assess the conformity of products with the requirements contained in the foreign trade contract for the supply of agricultural products complex to foreign markets, including during voluntary certification to obtain Halal and Kosher certificates.
