Marat Zyabbarov opened a series of zonal workshops on effective animal husbandry

Today, the first open-air zonal livestock workshop was held in the Pestrechinsky district with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

The event united the heads of districts, heads of agricultural departments and agricultural firms of Arsky, Atninsky, Baltasinsky, Kukmorsky, Mamadyshsky, Pestrechinsky, Sabinsky, Tyulyachinsky, Vysokogorsky districts.

Opening the event, Marat Zyabbarov noted that this is the first zonal seminar to increase the economic efficiency of livestock production through the introduction of advanced technologies. Similar events are planned on June 19 - in Tukaevsky, June 23 - in Yutazinsky, June 25 - in Apastovsky and June 30 - in Chistopol districts. Interested parties can take part in it and get a lot of useful information.

Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov examined the issues of the proper preparation of feed for productive animal husbandry, focusing on the importance of harvesting feed crops in the budding phase, during the period of the highest protein content in them. “Harvesting high-quality feed and balanced feeding are the basis for cost-effective livestock farming,” the deputy minister emphasized.

“By the age of 6 months, the calf should weigh 200 kg,” Almaz Khisamutdinov, Head of the Veterinary Directorate of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, began his speech. He also considered the issues of using a starter and a colostrum bank for feeding young animals, mandatory immunological prophylaxis for calves, feeding technologies for the transit group, and analyzed typical farm errors leading to cattle mortality and ways to solve them.

Speaking about effective programs for the reproduction of the dairy herd, the head of the GGSHU pedigree breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Production of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Zaripov drew attention to the advantages of artificial insemination, which now covers 88% of cattle in Tatarstan, and also examined the advantages and disadvantages of using sexed seed, which makes it possible to get 90% of heifers.

The Director General of the RIVC Niyaz Khaliullin discussed the issues of digitalization of livestock. Speaking about the introduction of a Unified Animal Identification in Tatarstan, he drew attention to the fact that in addition to the Arsky and Baltasinsky districts, other regions expressed their desire to participate in the program. Niyaz Khaliullin also dealt with the seminar participants such important aspects of successful animal husbandry as feeding, genetics and reproduction, which are closely related to accounting and management systems, as well as the most effective software products for this.

The event ended with a study of the livestock complex of Ak Bars Pestretsi LLC, where the seminar was held. By the end of 2019, 10,100 tons of milk were produced here, the productivity of cows amounted to 7370 kg from 1 cow. This year, the agricultural firm strengthens its success, for 5 months 468 tons of milk are needed (132% compared to last year), 3331 kg per cow (124%). The daily average weight gain is increasing on the farm, new facilities for livestock are being built, the number of livestock is increasing. Today there are about 4100 cattle goals.
