Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov discussed with dairy enterprises the prospects for further development of the dairy industry.

The event was attended by the General Director of the Union of Dairy Producers of Tatarstan Denis Pirogov, the leaders of the Kazan, Zelenodolsky, Vysokogorsky, Alekseevsky dairy plants, LLC Alphabet of cheese, LLC Archa, OJSC Alabuga Sote, LLC Agrosila Milk, etc.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that today more than 3.5 thousand tons of milk are processed every day in Tatarstan. Also, 30 dairy agricultural cooperatives work in the republic, which collect milk from the population, process and produce dairy products. The daily volume from processing cooperatives is from 260 to 300 tons.

The volume of milk produced in Tatarstan is 6% of the milk produced throughout Russia. It should be noted that dairy cattle breeding is one of the priority areas of the Tatarstan agro-industrial complex and, thanks to the implementation by the Ministry of a range of measures to support the production and sale of milk in the republic, positive results are noted. Tatarstan is the leader among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of production and sales of marketed milk.

Marat Zyabbarov announced the need to build a strategy for further development of the industry and instructed the meeting participants to prepare proposals for technological modernization, deep milk processing, analysis of the most popular products and prospects for entering new markets, including exporting products.

“For its part, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is ready to provide comprehensive support in matters of exporting products,” said Marat Zyabbarov.
