The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia recommended that other regions study the experience of Tatarstan in liming acidic soils

First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dzhambulat Khatuov held a meeting on the implementation of the action plan for liming acidic soils. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, heads of other regional governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex, representatives of agrochemical services, scientific and business communities took part in it.

Opening the meeting, Dzhambulat Khatuov emphasized that last year over 303.5 thousand hectares of arable land were harvested throughout the country, which is 4% more than in 2018. For 123.5 thousand ha they used state support funds. The highest quality work in this area was carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia noted that due to the proper organization, systematic approach and control in 2019, liming was carried out in Tatarstan on the largest area among all regions of Russia - on an area of ​​57 thousand hectares.

Dzhambulat Khatuov called on all the heads of the regional governing bodies of the Russian agro-industrial complex to carefully study the experience of Tatarstan.

“In the republic, 43% of arable land is of varying degree of acidity. Heads of agricultural enterprises are interested in participating in the liming program, as they see the real economic effect of this action, ”Marat Zyabbarov explained in his speech.

This year, 80 thousand hectares are planned to be invested for the republic. More than 5.0 thousand hectares of arable land have already been processed. About 90 units of technicians who have received a special permit for liming are working now. GPS equipment has been installed on all fertilizing equipment. It allows to control the fact of liming of the field. The entire report on the course of liming is received by the household and specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

By the state program for the development of the agro-industrial complex in 2020, compensation is planned for up to 90% of the costs of agricultural producers for liming acidic soils. 302.2 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for these purposes.
