Rains have made changes in the plans of agricultural workers. Field work had to be suspended. But, despite the changes of nature, sowing work in Tatarstan continues. The farmers of the republic try not to miss a single hour of the fine days of spring.
Today, winter crops are fed on an area of 481.3 thousand ha, what is 99%, perennial grasses - 394.4 thousand ha, 81%. In total this year, winter crops will be fed on an area of 486.7 thousand ha, perennial grasses - on 484.1 thousand ha.
The harrowing was carried out on 266.3 thousand ha of winter crops (68% of the planned), 448.5 thousand ha of perennial grasses (93%) and 1405.6 thousand ha of winter fallow and steam (66%).
The dynamics of spring sowing is 11% or 195.1 thousand ha. For comparison, on the same date in 2019, sowing spring crops amounted to 300.2 thousand ha. According to current data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the largest percentage of sowing today is on barley, which is already sown on an area of 123.9 ha, which is 28%. The largest crops of barley are 15500 ha in Zainsky district, Buinsky - 9600 ha, Aznakaevsky - 7700 ha, Sarmanovsky - 7400 ha, Aktanyshsky - 7300 ha, Nurlatsky - 7200 ha.
Wheat was sown on an area of 12.5 thousand ha (3% of the planned area) in Aktanyshsky, Almetyevsky, Apastovsky, Buinsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Kaybitsky, Menzelinsky, Muslyumovsky, Nurlatsky, Spassky, Chistopolsky and Yutazinsky districts.
Oats are sown on an area of 12.2 thousand ha (12.2% of the planned area).
In total, sowing was carried out on 195.1 thousand ha, and in total about 1796.5 million ha are to be sown.
