Marat Zyabbarov held a meeting on preparations for spring field work
Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov held a meeting with the municipal regions of Tatarstan on the preparation and organization of spring field work in 2020.
During the conversation, Marat Zyabbarov set the task for all regions to complete the preparations for spring sowing before the end of this week, drawing attention to the importance of applying mineral fertilizers, the quality of seeds and their proper processing, advanced training of machine operators, strict observance of labor protection measures and completion of repair of agricultural machines. “From March 30 to April 3, a commission of all equipment will be carried out,” said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Outreach on the prevention of injuries in agricultural enterprises was made by the First Deputy Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Valiullov. The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov outlined the priorities for the 2020 spring field work. He called on farmers to use original and elite seeds for sowing, for the acquisition of which the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan provides a subsidy of 40%, as well as a mandatory check of imported seeds for the quarantine diseases. In addition, the deputy minister marked the importance of applying mineral fertilizers and liming the soil, adding that in order to receive subsidies, documents must be submitted no later than tomorrow, before March 24.
Speaking about conducting protective measures, Ildus Gabdrakhmanov recalled the use of mortar units, which allows to increase productivity by 5-10 centners per hectare. The deputy minister drew attention to the fact that from the current year the damage will be compensated even in case of emergency, only if the crop is insured. He called on farmers to take care of this in advance, given that up to 90% of insurance costs are subsidized by the budget.
The readiness of equipment for field work was announced by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Talgat Tagirzyanov. It is 94% for tractors, 92% for seeders and sowing complexes. “Time is running out. It is necessary to expedite all repair work, ”the deputy minister said, urging also to ensure strict observance of the requirements for the passage of bulky equipment on public roads and to carry out traffic only in the daytime. In addition, Talgat Tagirzyanov said that the farmers will be provided with fuel.
At the end of the working event, Marat Zyabbarov called for responsibility for the spring field work. “Compliance with all agrotechnological methods is the key to the good harvest,” the minister said, noting that ensuring food security is now becoming particularly important.
