According to experts from the Main Department of Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the use of artificial insemination methods gives positive results and increases the productivity of cows, improving the work of offspring and preventing frequently occurring diseases in animals.
Today in the Drozhzhanovsky district there are about 10 thousand milk cows. 5319 of them are at personal subsidiary plots. Only 50% of personal subsidiary plots use artificial insemination methods.
Resident of the village Small Tsilny Mansur Shaidullin holds a milking herd for about ten years. Today in his farm there are 5 thoroughbred cows. In winter, the average daily milk yield of cows is about 22 kg. And in the summer their productivity is growing. “Earlier keeping cows was not easy, especially during the mating season. In any weather, I had to take the cow to the "collective farm". When Ilgiz Safiullov began to engage in artificial insemination, keeping cows became much easier. He comes at the first call, like an ambulance. We are very satisfied”, says Mansur Shaidullin, the head of the economy.
Ilgiz Safiullov provides veterinary care to animals of private sectors of the village. The site is rather big, there are more than 1000 cows.
“The use of artificial insemination in livestock is beneficial. Firstly, it improves the quality of milk and meat. Secondly, you can choose the breed of animals. In addition, it is much cheaper, because keeping a thoroughbred bull is expensive”, says Ilgiz Safiullov.

Specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan say that to improve the pedigree and productive qualities of cattle, the most reliable and fastest way is the artificial insemination. With artificial insemination, you can always be sure that the seed comes from a proven manufacturing bull with high genetic potential. The seed of such bulls meets all sanitary requirements, when it is used, the risk of infection of animals with diseases is completely eliminated.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reminds that it is possible to purchase new equipment for artificial insemination under the state program with a 40% cost reduction.
