Marat Zyabbarov: Land is our wealth and there should be an appropriate attitude to its use
This was pointed out at a meeting in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a videoconferencing meeting with all municipal areas.
“We all know that land is our wealth and there must be an appropriate attitude to its use. This includes anti-erosion measures (forest reclamation, agroforestry), preservation and replenishment of its fertility. Otherwise, there will be complete degradation of the soil and it is practically impossible to obtain an economically viable crop on such land. Of course, the situation cannot be brought to this”, said Marat Zyabbarov.
The ministry is working in this direction, and most agricultural enterprises have begun to treat their arable land more sparingly. The use of elements of conservation agriculture, its biologization through the introduction of organics, including through green manure and stubble crops, cultivation of improving crops (peas, perennial grasses, cruciferous plants, etc.), the incorporation of straw, and the use of biological agents and mineral fertilizers allowed to stabilize the whole situation.
According to our agrochemical services (CAC "Tatarsky", SAS "Almetyevskaya"), the weighted average humus content has stabilized since 2000. For phosphorus and potassium, the picture in the republic is also not critical.

Knowing the state of your soil, the availability of nutrients by leaf and tissue diagnostics, using integrated protection, you can get a much larger crop than a neighbor who ignores these measures”,the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan noted.
In general, state regulation of agricultural land fertility is regulated by the Federal Law of July 16, 1998 (“On State Regulation of the Provision of Agricultural Land”). In order to implement the provision of the Federal Law, the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia (dated 04.05.2010 No. 150 (as amended on 08.08.2012)) approved the Procedure for state registration of indicators of the state of fertility of agricultural land. But these regulations are not respected by all.
Marat Zyabbarov noted that there are areas that have not examined their areas for 10-15 years. How can one not be interested in the state of his arable land for decades, when your neighbor already controls this whole process. Such a careless approach by a number of leaders does not suit us. Therefore, if the situation this year does not improve, we will begin to apply sanctions, limiting budget support for the agricultural industry, - he said.
“Of course, to ensure a positive balance, it is necessary to apply the optimal amount of mineral fertilizers. Agricultural producers are already receiving republican stimulating support for mineral fertilizers at the rate of 515 rubles / ha. To those who have accumulated 35 kg a.i. / ha, our support will add 10-12 kgs”.
“The federal program has been launched in 2019 and we plan to invest into 80 thousand hectares this year with an output up to 100 thousand hectares annually by 2024. I ask farm managers and farmers to speed up the development of estimates for liming, ”concluded Marat Zyabbarov.
