The celebration of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory was launched in Tatarstan. The ministry is also preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary. On May 27, 1920, the People's Commissariat of Agriculture was established. During the year, the ministry plans to congratulate all veterans of agriculture. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov on February 12.

During the Agroindustrial Forum, an exhibition of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan dedicated to the 100-year history of agriculture of Tatarstan has opened at the site of the Kazan Expo international exhibition center. The exhibition stands remind the residents of the republic of the important role of agricultural workers in the history of the republic.

The exposition begins from the time of collectivization. At that time, about 3,900 collective farms were formed from 500 thousand individual farms in Tatarstan. Thanks to the mechanization of farms in 1932-1933, the agrarians of the republic gathered a large crop. In May 1933, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR M.I. Kalinin awarded the 26 best collective farms with machines and tractors. And in 1934, Tatarstan was one of the first to be awarded the Order of Lenin "For achievements in the implementation of basic agricultural work, in strengthening collective farms and state farms, and in fulfilling obligations."

Stand “ALL FOR THE FRONT! EVERYTHING FOR VICTORY! ” is about the difficult years of 1941-1945 war. 20% of horses, 80% of tractors and cars, as well as 200 million pounds of milk, 131 thousand pounds of grain, 59 million pounds of meat, 39 million pounds of potatoes and other products were sent to the front.

The post-war restoration of the republic is demonstrated by the next stand of the exhibition “On a New Rise”. In 1945-1960, specialists with higher education appeared there. Milking on collective farms becomes mechanized. So, milkmaid Gulbika Karimova from the village of Uzyak, Tyulyachinsky district, in 1968 received 5549 kg of milk from 1 cow. In 1971, she received the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, was awarded the Order of Lenin. At that time, in terms of the number of advanced machine operators and livestock breeders, the TASSR was ahead of the indicators of many Union Republics.

The exhibition also mentions the years 1980-2000: the collapse of the agro-industry, the 90s, poverty, bankruptcy. At that time, through the efforts of President Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan remained one of the few republics that retained collective and state farms.

At the last stand “Breakthrough” the history of the 21st century is presented. People receive tangible profits from land resources, farms thrive and entrepreneurship develops. In 2008, a record harvest in the history of Tatarstan was harvested in the republic - 6 million tons of grain.

The legendary figures for the 100-year history of Tatarstan can be found in the special section of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan - People of Labor.
