Agricultural producers need time to buy mineral fertilizers while prices are favorable
In Tatarstan, agricultural producers can receive budgetary funds for the purchase of mineral fertilizers for the 2020 crop. This money will be received by farms that accumulate at least 35 kg of the active substance of mineral fertilizers per hectare of sown area.
This year, the task was set to accumulate over 70 kg of active substance per hectare. Therefore, areas with low rates need to speed up.
In general, as of February 5, over 70872 tons of mineral fertilizers in terms of active substance or 25.3 kg of active substance per hectare of crops were purchased in the republic, which is higher than in 2019. This date last year, the accumulated resources in the republic amounted to 23.1 kg per hectare.
According to the latest data, the three leaders are the Zainsky district, whose farms have accumulated 3619.8 tons of mineral fertilizers or 53.9 kg of a.s. per hectare of crops (77%), Sarmanovsky district with 4122 tons or 52.2 kg per hectare (74.5%) Atninsky district - 2262.5 tons or 50.7 kg a.s per hectare (72.5%). Good indicators are also in Tetyushsky, Sabinsky, Baltasinsky, Kukmorsky, Mamadyshsky, Nizhnekamsky, Buinsky, Aznakaevsky, Arsky, Tukaevsky districts.
“Given the annual seasonal fluctuations in the prices of mineral fertilizers, work in this direction needs to be strengthened now, while there is an opportunity to purchase fertilizers at competitive prices,” said Nail Zalakov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan reminds that mineral fertilizers are the basis for obtaining high crop yields and replenishing the removal of mineral elements from the soil. Fertilizers not only increase productivity, but also improve its quality: the content of sugars, fats and proteins, as well as biologically active substances, increases. Therefore, it is necessary to pay more attention to areas where the work on the accumulation of mineral fertilizers is carried out in insufficient volume.
