In Tatarstan, the birth rate of third children in rural families was increased by payoffs.
Federal and republican measures of social support for rural mothers allowed, according to the results of 2019, in Tatarstan to preserve the birth rate of first-born children and increase the birth rate of third children in families. This was announced today by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Elmira Zaripova at the final board of the department. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marcel Makhmutov.
They reported that the proportion of first-born births in families remained at the level of 39%, and the birth rate of third and subsequent children increased from 19.6% in 2018 to 21.6% in 2019.
“Preserving the level of first births and increasing third births is the result of the implementation of measures to support families with children, including through the federal project“ Financial support for families at the birth of children ”and the introduction of republican payments for rural mothers,” said Elmira Zaripova.
In total, from the republican budget for 2019, 2,487 women living in the village received lump sum payments. Payments were received by women under the age of 25 at the birth of their first child, as well as under the age of 29 at the birth of their third child. Since 2018, a federal monthly payment has been introduced in connection with the birth or adoption of the first child to families with an average per capita income not exceeding 1.5 times the cost of living of the able-bodied population until the child reaches the age of 1.5 years. The number of recipients of this payment in the republic since 2018 amounted to 13,780 people.
Since 2020, the terms of the program have changed, which will entail an increase in the number of payees. Payment is now in the amount of 9 thousand 373 rubles. Now it will be provided to families with incomes not exceeding twice the living wage of the able-bodied population (60 thousand 510 rubles per family of three) until the child reaches the age of three years. Families living in rural areas will also be able to get paid.
