14 December 2019, Saturday

The results of the work of the livestock industry in the Republic of Tatarstan for 11 months were reported today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

The meeting via videoconferencing with all municipal regions of the republic was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.

The Minister noted that the cash proceeds from the agricultural sector for 11 months amounted to 109 billion rubles. The livestock sector accounts 60.8 billion with an increase of 14% compared to the previous year, including milk production for 22.5 billion rubles, cattle and poultry - 31.3 billion rubles, eggs - 4.8 billion rubles.

366 thousand tons of meat were produced, including poultry - 190 thousand tons, pork - 84.2 thousand tons, cattle - 89 thousand tons. Over 1 billion eggs were received - a 12% increase over the previous year.

As of December 1, the republic has 708 thousand heads of cattle, which is 1% lower than a year earlier, 453 thousand pigs (105%) and 15.2 million birds (102%). Mamadyshsky, Sabinsky, Baltasinsky, Atninsky, Bugulminsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Bavlinsky, Tukaevsky, Tetyushsky and Kukmorsky districts became leaders in increasing the number of cattle for 11 months of this year. At the same time, a number of areas allowed a decrease.

As for the situation with milk, the republic maintains good momentum. 3433 tons of milk are produced daily. Every day, agricultural producers of the republic sell more than 3270 tons of milk and receive an income of 75 million rubles. The highest indicators are demonstrated by Kukmorsky, Baltasinsky, Atninsky, Aktanyshsky, Sabinsky, Mamadyshsky, Alkeevsky districts.

We are concerned about the decline in livestock in several areas. In villages, the sale of milk is the main source of income. If this does not happen, then people will move to district centers, cities. Therefore, if we want the village to exist, then it is necessary to develop livestock farming, ”Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
