The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the contest "Best in Profession" among young agricultural workers
On November 22-23, Kazan hosted the republican contest of professional skill "Best in Profession" among young agricultural workers. The competition was held as part of the implementation of the Rural Youth Program with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Agrarian Youth Association of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Despite the tightening of the terms of the competition in 2019, the number of applicants for participation amounted to more than 360 applications. Specialists in the agro-industrial complex are considered the most valuable personnel, and the contest "Best in Profession" helps to identify the most talented.
The participants competed in 9 categories: agronomist, accountant-economist, machine operator, veterinarian, mechanical engineer, machine milking operator, livestock specialist, accountant economist and herd reproduction technologist. Also this year the competition was held for students of agricultural specialties.
The competition day was divided into two parts, which took place at the Agrarian University and the Veterinary Academy of Kazan. The first stage was theoretical. Participants responded to test tickets. In the second part, young workers demonstrated professional skills in practice. Make the correct diagnosis to the animal, tell about the disease and provide first veterinary care, professionally assemble the deboning technique, quickly set up the milking machine. The competition became an opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues and gain new knowledge.
On November 23, the awarding took place at the Palace of Farmers. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov. He congratulated each winner and told about measures to support youth in the village. “The priority tasks of our ministry are to attract young personnel to the agricultural sector, support young specialists and their employment. In 2019, 76 specialists, having completed training, went to the countryside and entrenched in farms. By the end of the year they will be provided with state support (300 thousand rubles) for specialists who graduated from a higher educational institution, and 150 thousand rubles - graduated from a secondary special educational institution, as well as an additional payment of 7500 rubles monthly during the year. To date, 112 students are studying by targeted education contracts. These students are paid a monthly scholarship in the amount of 10 thousand rubles if the student is studying at a higher educational institution, and 6 thousand rubles - for secondary special. One of the incentive measures for agricultural workers is the holding of this competition, ”said the First Deputy Minister.
