A meeting of the commission on the formation of proposals in the State Register of Breeding Achievements was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the regional commission to formulate proposals on amendments to the State Register of selection achievements approved for use in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2020 under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov.

The meeting was attended by Vitaly Novichkov, Head of the “State Commission Commission” Branch of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marcel Tagirov, Head of the TatNIISH, a separate structural unit of the Federal Research Center of the KazSC RAS, Deputy Director of the Rosselkhoztsentr Branch of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafis Khabibullin, General Director of the Elite Seeds Yuri Erov, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, scientists and breeders of a separate subdivision of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Health and Fitness "TatNIISKH", heads of state plots, specialists of agricultural holdings and agricultural enterprises.

The main report on the results of variety testing of crops was made by the head of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "State Commission for the RT" Vitaly Novichkov. He presented the test results of new varieties of winter rye, winter and spring wheat, oats, peas and other crops.

Following the meeting, the commission proposed zoning of 18 varieties and hybrids of domestic and foreign breedings, including: winter rye and winter wheat, 2 varieties each, 3 varieties of spring wheat, 4 varieties of barley and potatoes, and 2 hybrids of rapeseed. It was also proposed to expand the range of cultivated varieties. The members of the commission discussed the proposals of the branch and unanimously voted for 2020 year’s amendments to the State Register of selection achievements approved for use in the Republic of Tatarstan.
