Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov reported on the situation in the food and processing industry market of Tatarstan today at a republican meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting was held via videoconferencing with all areas by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.
The Minister said that at present the republic fully provides itself with basic types of food of its own production. Based on the recommendations of rational norms of food consumption, the supply of meat, milk, eggs and bread was more than 100%, sugar and potatoes more than 300%, and the supply of vegetable oil was more than 6 times higher than the norm.
Today in Tatarstan there are about 1 thousand enterprises of food and processing industries. Over the 9 months of this year, an increase in food production amounted to almost 6% compared to the same period in 2018. The largest growth was achieved with processed and canned fish - 47%, cereals - 39%, dairy products - 23%, butter - 20% and meat - 15%.
Marat Zyabbarov reminded that this year a number of measures were taken in the republic to launch new and modernize existing processing enterprises. In particular, production capacities were increased by Kazan Dairy Plant, Karlinsky Meat House (Buinsky District), Chelny Broiler, Kazan Bakery No. 3, Akulchev (Naberezhnye Chelny), Cheese Alphabet (Mamadyshsky District ), as well as 17 enterprises of Tatpotrebsoyuz.
Processing of agricultural products is developing in the agricultural park "Kazan". The production area with a total of 7.3 thousand square meters is represented by 22 processing workshops with a production volume of more than 650 tons of finished products per month. The product range includes more than 800 items. On the basis of production data, meat products are deboned, fish, confectionery and flour products, cheeses and dairy products, semi-finished meat products, pickles and salads, home lunches, dishes of various national cuisines are processed.
In the Zainsky agricultural park, which was commissioned in December last year, there are 3 workshops for processing the following types of products: meat - with a capacity of 2.5 tons per day, vegetable - 2 tons per day and packing cereals and bulk products - 5 tons per day. In total, 28 types of products are produced at the site. For 9 months of this year, the revenue of the agricultural park amounted to 18.8 million rubles.
“The Ministry actively interacts with organizations, providing them with state support. To date, subsidies, totaling 73 million rubles, have been allocated to bakeries to reimburse part of the costs associated with the modernization of production facilities, and 81 million rubles to compensate the costs associated with the production of social breads. This measure allowed us to avoid a sharp increase in bread prices”, the minister said.
Marat Zyabbarov added that Tatarstan among the 14 regions of the Volga Federal District takes the leading positions in terms of low prices for a number of food products: first place - in butter, sour cream, flour, buckwheat; second place - for beef, pasteurized milk, cheeses; third place in carrots. A conditional set of food products in the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the most affordable. In September, it amounted to 3466 rubles.

There is enough potential for the development of this industry, ”said Aleksey Pesoshin and suggested the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan to work more closely with the Ministry of Digital Development of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan.
