Milk sales volume increased in Russia: Tatarstan is among the regions that provided the largest increase
According to operational data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, as of October 14, the daily volume of milk sales by agricultural organizations amounted to 44.4 thousand tons, which is 7.8% more than the same period last year (in 2018 - 41.2 thousand tons).
The maximum milk sales per day were achieved in the Republic of Tatarstan, Krasnodar Territory, Voronezh, Kirov, Sverdlovsk, Leningrad, Belgorod, Novosibirsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Vologda Regions, the Republics of Udmurtia and Bashkortostan, as well as Altai Territory.
It should be noted that dairy cattle breeding is one of the prior areas of the agricultural sector of Tatarstan and, thanks to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan, a set of measures to support the production and sale of milk in the republic, positive results are noted.
