Marat Zyabbarov: Tatarstan harvested more than half of the sugar beet
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Marat Zyabbarov reported on the pace of harvesting industrial crops and autumn tillage at a republican meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a videoconference with all areas. Prime Minister of the Republic Alexey Pesoshin took part in the work.
The minister said that 4 million 250 thousand tons of crops were harvested in the republic, another 200 thousand tons of corn are planned to be obtained. The leader of the current harvesting campaign marked Tukaevsky district. Gross grain harvest amounted to 175 thousand tons, yield is 40.4 c / ha. The second most productive was the Mamadyshsky district - 40.2 c / ha. Here 135 thousand tons of a new crop are threshed. High yields were also noted in Zainsky and Aktanyshsky (40 c / ha) areas.
As of today, 33.8 thousand ha are harvested on sugar beets - 53%. Over 1 million 464 thousand tons of root crops have been accumulated. Productivity is 433 kg / ha (+85 kg / ha by 2018). Tatarstan sugar factories have already produced 74.2 thousand tons of sweet products.
Also at the moment 83% of the potato area is harvested - 4.4 thousand hectares. The farmers harvested 127 thousand tons of crops.
Work on autumn tillage continues. Today, 1 million 405 thousand ha of land have been plowed (74%). About 2 thousand units of equipment are involved for these purposes. By the past week, 192 thousand ha were cultivated.
The Minister drew attention to the fact that equipment freed from field work must be put into storage, cleaned, preserved, fault-tested, and repair work should begin. He reminded that at the end of October, acceptance of equipment for winter storage will be carried out and he called on farm managers to put in order the machine and tractor parks.
