The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of animal husbandry for the 3rd quarter of 2019
Today, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the livestock industry for 9 months of 2019. The meeting was held by the head of the livestock development department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Siren Nigmatzyanov.
The event was attended by livestock consultants, heads of breeding services of agricultural and food departments in municipal areas and other responsible persons
Siren Nigmatzyanov acquainted those present with the results of the livestock industry for 9 months. In his speech, he focused on the issues of milk and meat production, as well as the safety of livestock.
Today the number of cattle on the territory of the republic is 712.4 thousand heads, including cows - 238.7 thousand heads, pigs - 453.6 thousand heads, sheep and goats - 53.8 thousand heads, birds - 14.8 million heads, horses - 19.7 thousand heads.
During the meeting, the leading districts in increasing the number of cattle in the 3rd quarter of this year were announced. These were Mamadyshsky (+2562 heads), Baltasinsky (+1702), Sabinsky (+1655), Atninsky (+798), Rybno-Slobodsky (+735), Kukmorsky (+697), Drozhzhanovsky (+517), Bavlinsky (+ 291), Zelenodolsky (+239) and Tetyushsky (+199) areas.
For 9 months of this year, agricultural enterprises produced 1027 thousand tons of milk (104% in relation to last year), 298.9 thousand tons of meat (102%), including (raised) cattle 73.4 thousand tons (99%), pigs - 68 thousand tons (106%), poultry - 155.8 thousand tons (102%).
According to the head of the department for the development of livestock industries in the republic, as of October 4, the gross daily milk yield of agricultural enterprises and peasant farms is 3,592.3 tons, which is 5% more than the same period last year.
Talking of milk production, Baltasinsky, Nizhnekamsky, Atninsky, Kukmorsky, Aktanyshsky and Sabinsky districts were among the first. Vysokogorsky, Mamadyshsky and Kukmorsky districts showed the best dynamics in meat production.
In addition, the meeting summed up the reproduction of cattle.
