Farmers of Zelenodolsk district invite everyone in poor to collect potatoes for themselves
Not everyone can stock up on potatoes in the fall, many people face with a lack of food. This was the thought of the heads of peasant (farmer) households Boris Komissarov and Sergey Polozhentsev.
Farmers of Zelenodolsk region decided to donate to the poor the potatoes grown on the territory of Ovoshchevod LLC and provided an eight-hectare field and the necessary equipment for harvesting. The lease was provided by the director of OOO Ovoschevod Ilshat Sabirzyanov, his deputy Ramil Abdulmanov and agronomist Sergei Malov directly assisted in the cultivation of potatoes.
An initiative group of young people joined the action. On September 29, the guys from the Youth Parliament, high school students of school No. 15, students of ZMK, KFU, arrived on the field to collect potatoes on a voluntary basis, and then distribute it to those in need. Sunday weather was good, it made the pastime joyful. The result turned out to be quite good - one and a half tons of the vegetable. First of all, free potatoes were delivered to those who receive social services at home, move poorly and have low incomes.
Families expressed their gratitude for the care and food assistance shown to them.
“In general, everyone was invited to harvest, even those who did not have their crops,” say the farmers. - They collected the "second bread" for themselves. We have allocated this field to all those in need, regardless of wealth. The main thing is to have time to collect before the frost. "
Farmers of Zelenodolsk district are inviting everyone to clean this Sunday, October 6th. Gathering at 10.00 at the entrance to the city of Zelenodolsk. A tractor will dig potatoes, all that you need to take with you is buckets and bags.
