Marat Zyabbarov called on farmers to complete the autumn tillage by October 20
Last week, 1.4 thousand hectares of potatoes, 500 hectares of vegetables were harvested in the republic, 256 thousand tons of sugar beets were accumulated. Also during this period, Tatarstan factories produced 20.4 thousand tons of granulated sugar. This was announced today by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov at a republican meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a videoconference meeting with all areas. Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin took part in the work.
Marat Zyabbarov noted that attractive procurement prices for milk were established in the republic, so in the village they began to pay more attention to improving productivity. To maintain this dynamic, it is important to ensure a sufficient amount of grain corn in the diet of cows.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan reported that this year 52 thousand hectares of corn were sown using grain technology. Specialists monitored its condition. According to their conclusion, 45 thousand ha can be harvested. A number of households have already begun selective cleaning. The past frosts will accelerate the ripening of the crop, in the coming days it is planned to begin a more massive threshing.
As for the autumn tillage, according to Marat Zyabbarov, 180 thousand hectares have been plowed over the past week. In total, the republic carried out autumn tillage on an area of 1 million 150 thousand hectares out of 1.9 million hectares. On 600 thousand hectares, processing was carried out with a deepening of the arable layer.
The completion of cereal harvesting and autumn sowing allowed to increase the daily plowing of winter fallow. The processing involved 1.7 thousand units. Every day, the equipment processes about 40 thousand hectares of land. Good dynamics were demonstrated by Sabinsky, Baltasinsky, Aktanyshsky, Atninsky, Yutazinsky, Kukmorsky and several other districts.
The Minister reminded that the timely autumnal treatment shows its effectiveness, contributing to the accumulation of autumn rainfall and spring melt water. In addition, this is an important agricultural technique in the fight against weeds and diseases. Addressing the heads of the districts, Marat Zyabbarov urged to complete the tillage by October 20.
