Opening the round table, Marat Zyabbarov greeted the participants and expressed his readiness to discuss the problems of grain producers in an open dialogue format and to find ways to solve them together.

The first deputy minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolay Titov reported on the current situation. “To date, 4,249.4 thousand tons of grain have been harvested, 1,139 thousand tons of which have been delivered to grain-receiving enterprises,” the deputy minister noted, drawing attention to the reduced rye crop due to the death of winter crops in the spring of this year.

Bulat Kutdusov, Director of the Bakery and Confectionery Plant in Kazan, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan for organizing the meeting and participating in solving problems in the baking industry. Speaking about the difficulties, he noted a constant increase in direct costs, such as prices for raw materials, fuels and lubricants, transportation costs in the production of social breads, which, while keeping product prices at the same level, lead to unprofitable production.

They shared the problems that the heads of the Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny bakery have to face. It is obsolete equipment and the need for overhaul of the factory building, which has been operating for more than 50 years, and a high cost of maintaining the modernized enterprise. In addition, there was a concern expressed that grain producers did not fall under preferential lending at a rate of up to 5% per year, provided for agricultural producers, which made it difficult to raise funds for the modernization of production.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that subsidizing of social breads is not able to solve the problems of the industry, a serious technological reorganization is required. During the discussion, the parties came to the decision on the need to develop a concept for modernization and further effective work of the industry.
