Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: Given all production costs, low purchase prices for milk from the population are unacceptable

27 August 2019, Tuesday

Monitoring of purchase prices for milk from the population of the republic is under the control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the results of the rating for August, the best indicators are in Chistopol (20.71 rubles), Buinsky (20.38 rubles), Alekseevsky (20.30 rubles) and Baltasinsky (20.29 rubles) districts of Tatarstan. Here, purchase prices for milk from the population are higher than the national average - 18.06 rubles.

Also higher than the national average are indicators in Alkeevsky (19.75 rubles), Spassky (19.39 rubles), Nurlatsky (19.20 rubles), Novosheshminsky (19 rubles), Kukmorsky (19 rubles), Aksubaevsky (19 rubles) .), Vysokogorsky (19 rubles), Pestrechinsky (18.98 rubles), Mamadyshsky (18.75 rubles), Bugulminsky (18.66 rubles), Tyulyachinsky (18.5 rubles), Sabinsky (18, 46 rubles), Cheremshansky (18.4 rubles), Tetyushsky (18.38 rubles), Arsky (18.37 rubles), Aznakaevsky (18.37 rubles) and Aktanyshsky (18.2 rubles) districts of Tatarstan

In other regions, milk is purchased from the population at prices below the national average. Particular attention should be paid to Zainsky (14 rubles), Bavlinsky (15.25 rubles) and Tukaevsky (16 rubles) districts where milk is purchased at the lowest prices.

To date, in a market economy, agricultural prices are formed on the basis of market conditions, taking into account supply and demand, and current legislation does not provide for state regulation of procurement prices.

In order to support the population, the Ministry annually provides state support to citizens conducting personal subsidiary plots to reimburse a part of the costs of keeping dairy cows and goats.

“Given all the costs of milk production, prices in a number of these areas are unacceptable and lead to reluctance of citizens to engage in its production, in turn, the problem of employment of the rural population is exacerbated,” commented Rishat Khabipov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the RT.

The deputy minister recommended in areas where the purchase price of milk is below the national average to take urgent measures to rectify the situation and draw attention to the experience of the Buinsky and Baltasinsky districts, where thanks to measures taken, prices are kept above 20 rubles. The experience of the Barakat cooperative of the Aznakaevsky district, where the price for the purchase of milk from the population is not lower than 20 rubles per liter, is also interesting.
