The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan named the districts - leaders in animal husbandry

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the livestock industry for the 7 months of 2019. The meeting was held by Nazip Khazipov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was attended by livestock consultants, heads of breeding services of agricultural and food departments in municipal areas and other responsible persons.

At the beginning of the meeting, Aidar Sadriev, Deputy Director of the Tatar MVL Federal State Budgetary Institution, made a report on the topic “Genetic examination of farm animals: application of a test system based on microsatellite markers”. It was about introducing a method of genetic examination of cattle, based on DNA analysis of microsatellite markers, using the domestic kit on the Applied Biosystems 3500 genetic analyzer.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nazip Khazipov, announced the results of the livestock industry over 7 months. In his speech, he focused on the issues of milk and meat production, as well as the safety of livestock.

To date, the number of cattle in the republic is 721.8 thousand heads, including cows - 242.3 thousand heads, pigs - 451.4 thousand heads, sheep and goats - 58.2 thousand heads, birds - 14.5 million heads, horses - 19.9 thousand heads.

For 7 months of this year, agricultural enterprises produced 795.4 thousand tons (104%) of milk, 232.7 thousand tons (102%) of meat, including (grown) cattle 57.2 thousand tons (99%) pigs - 52.3 thousand tons, poultry - 121.7 tons.

According to the deputy minister, the number of cattle has increased since the beginning of the year in Mamadyshsky, Baltasinsky, Sabinsky, Kukmorsky, Alkeevsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Buinsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Atninsky and Tetyushsky districts.

As of August 7, the gross daily milk yield in agricultural enterprises and peasant farms in the republic is more than 3909.4, which is 152.8 tons or 104.1% more than in the same period last year.

In Kukmorsky, Baltasinsky, Atninsky, Aktanyshsky, Sabinsky, Alkeevsky, Nurlatsky, Alekseevsky, Nizhnekamsky, Buinsky, Tukaevsky, Almetyevsky, Tetyushsky, Mendeleevsky areas is observed the greatest increase in milk production.

Further, the participants of the event discussed the indicators of cattle meat production. The greatest positive dynamics are in Aktanyshsky, Kukmorsky, Mamadyshsky, Sabinsky, Aksubaevsky, Tukaevsky, Sarmanovsky, Tetyushsky, Verkhne-Uslonsky and Mendeleevsky areas.

In the course of the meeting, the general director of the State Budget Institution “Management of Aquaculture and Beekeeping of the Republic of Tatarstan” Faiz Dinmukhametov reported on the state of beekeeping. According to him, there is a work being done in the republic to certify apiaries with possible chipization of bee families and create a register of beekeepers with their actual location. The work was organized with the involvement of the state veterinary service of the Republic of Tatarstan. “This will help farmers to inform beekeepers about the use of plant protection products that can affect the condition of bees during the honey plant,” the speaker explained.

In addition, during the meeting, the importance of artificial insemination in personal subsidiary plots was noted. It allows improving the pedigree and breeding qualities of cattle and it is the main mean of improving the herd. The organization of this work was reported by responsible specialists of the regions of Tatarstan.

Also during the meeting, Nazip Khazipov announced the “Horse Day” holiday, which will be held on September 14 in the Arsk district. As part of the event, horse races for the prizes of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports of the RT, a jump for the prize “Argamak”, a jump for the prize “Rural Dzhigits”, a jump for the prize “Horse Day”, as well as the Championship on horse riding “Audarysh” and many others are planned .
