In Tatarstan, the rate of feed procurement exceeds the level of the same period in 2018

In the country, the rate of procurement of feed for livestock this year is higher than in 2018. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of August 5, 454.1 thousand tons of hay was harvested in the republic, and 2 million 563.8 thousand tons of haylage, which is 72% and 95% of the forecast, respectively.

“Today, agricultural enterprises have procured 996 thousand tons of feed units. This is 74 thousand tons of feed units more than on the same date last year, ”said the head of the department for the development of livestock industries of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Siren Nigmatzyanov.

According to him, the pace of the forage harvesting campaign this year, despite inclement weather in late July and early August, is slightly higher than in the past. “As of August 5, 17.2 centners of fodder units were stocked up per one conditional head of livestock in the republic, which exceeds the indicator for the same period last year by 1.5 centners and is 57% of the forecast,” said the head of the department for the development of livestock industries.

According to the relevant department, in 27 out of 43 municipal districts, the volume of fodder per one conditional head of livestock exceeds the national average (17.2 tsp units).

“Most of the haylage is stocked up in those municipalities where the livestock density is highest,” said Siren Nigmatzyanov. So, in the Baltasinsky district, 168 thousand tons of haylage were laid (here the highest livestock density per 100 hectares of farmland is 49 heads), Atninsky - 109 thousand tons (45 heads), Sabinsky - 136 thousand tons (42 heads), Kukmorsky - 127.5 thousand tons (35 goals), Aktanyshsky - 123 thousand tons (32 heads).
