The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held zonal seminars on the organization of autumn field work
From July 23 to July 30, 2019, zonal seminars were held in the municipal regions of Tatarstan on the organization of harvesting, sowing winter crops, basic tillage and seed filling.
The seminars were attended by deputy ministers of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov and Talgat Galimzyanov, heads of regional agricultural administrations, mechanization consultants, specialists from the branch of the FSBI Rosselkhoztsentr in the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of the Elite Seeds Association of Tatarstan, heads of agricultural enterprises and peasant farms and agronomists.
In terms of the seminars that took place in Tetyushsky, Chistopolsky, Aktanyshsky, Arsky and Kukmorsky districts, the participants of the event got acquainted with the results of competitive variety tests, the tactics of harvesting in 2019, the features of winter sowing, approaches to the main tillage, etc.
Particular attention was paid to the quality of sowing of winter crops, as the most productive due to their biological characteristics in the conditions of the republic.
The importance of agricultural insurance was also considered, due to the fact that the republic is included in the risky farming zone. Seminar participants got acquainted with changes in the legislation of agricultural insurance.
During the seminar, the issues of autumn tillage were discussed, agricultural enterprises were recommended to increase the area of deepening of the arable layer for the accumulation of autumn and spring moisture, since the moisture reserve in the soil is the main determining factor for crop yields.
The seminar was attended by suppliers of seeds, mineral fertilizers, plant protection products, agricultural equipment and spare parts for them. They introduced to the workshop participants the range of their products for the period of seasonal field work.
