On June 24, a meeting on the implementation of the Integrated Rural Development Program in terms of promoting rural employment under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut was held in the form of videoconferencing.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Deputy Minister Oleg Zemskov, Rector of Kazan State Agrarian University Ayrat Valiev, Vice Rector for Research of Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine Takhir Akhmetov and other responsible persons.
Oksana Lut reminded that on May 31, 2019, the Government of the Russian Federation adopted the state program “Integrated Development of Rural Territories”.
"Promoting rural employment" is one of the key blocks of the state program, and provides the subsidizing 30% of employers' expenses for paid education of students from the company, as well as reimbursing 30% of the costs to an enterprise where the student is undergoing practical training.
“Our task by the program is to support the training of industry specialists,” said Oksana Lut. Also, answering the questions of the regions, the deputy minister noted that the program has no restrictions on full-time or part-time tuition, and does not depend on the student’s first or second higher education.
In the course of the meeting, the universities were tasked to form mobile student brigades to popularize and explain the specifics of programs to promote rural employment. Also, educational institutions will have to monitor potential employers who are ready to work under this program, and analyze the potential of the regions in terms of training and employment opportunities for young professionals.
