Today, the press conference on the organization of the republican Sabantui in Kazan was held in the news agency "Tatar-inform". “One of the venues of the festival will be the Kazan hippodrome,13 races will be organized there. 1 of them will be on a pony for children. There will also be 4 races of trotters and other races for riding breeds, ”said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Nazip Hazipov.
“Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, will be our distinguished guest. We want to show him the races, ”said the deputy minister. It will be called “Golden Argamak”. They will be attended by horses of the Akhal-Teke breed. It was launched on the territory of modern Turkmenistan thousands of years ago.
“These are riding breeds - Akhal-Teke, amazingly beautiful horses. We collected them from all over Russia. There is one such horse in the Timerkhan club in Tatarstan, and a total of 13 horses will participate. We invited them from Dagestan, the Moscow Region, and Stavropol. The distance is 1200 meters, ”Nazip Hazipov shared the details.
Tatar horse races will be held at the Kazan hippodrome on Republic Day. The deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan for animal husbandry personally oversees the selection of horses for the race dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the TASSR.
“On the Republic Day, we will set about seven to ten horses of the Tatar breed. These will be the races of real Tatar horses. We are preparing them, ”said Khazipov. He added that he personally oversees the selection of Tatar racers.
“Tatar horses are warrior horses. They themselves find food, so they are economical. Very hardy - can go up to 100 km per day. They occupy their own niche in the development of horse breeding, in their time, Genghis Khan armed all his army with these horses, ”said Khazipov. Tatar horses cannot compete with Arabian horses in speed, but they outperform everyone in endurance, the Deputy Minister of RT stressed.
We remind, the Tatar horse breed was officially registered as a separate breed at the end of last year.
