Ministry of Agriculture and Food reminds of the need to combine plant protection and nutrition
Taking into account the period of crop formation that began on the fields of Tatarstan, the agrarians of the republic should combine in their work the issues of plant protection and nutrition. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolay Titov at a meeting in the Government House, reporting on the progress of seasonal field work.
“The package approach allows to solve a whole range of problems associated with weeds, diseases, pests, and at the same time feed the plants with the necessary nutrients,” the first deputy minister said and added that for the growing season, agricultural producers will have to process about 4 million hectares.
Winter crops are now at the earing stage, and spring crops are in the tube release phase. “Passing spraying with protective equipment and fertilizers will allow us to lay the foundation for a more weighty spike, and a second run with foliar dressing in the earing phase is already a guarantee of a good harvest,” Nikolai Titov addressed the farmers of Tatarstan.
In addition, the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan noted the importance of using normalized water prepared in stationary solution nodes. According to him, such areas of the republic as Atninsky, Kukmorsky and a number of others are now seriously approaching this task.
