Ildus Gabdrakhmanov on the completion of the sowing campaign in the Republic of Tatarstan: The sowing work was carried out qualitatively
In Tatarstan planting is completed. The crop area on the republican fields has not changed compared to the past years and even amounted to about 2.8 million hectares, that Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, said at a press conference in the Tatar-inform news agency.
“There are no major changes in the structure of crops itself - we traditionally have 1.5 million hectares of grain wedge, about 900 thousand hectares of which are fodder crops,” the speaker said.
He also added that in 2019 they increased the sowing volume of industrial crops - sunflower, rape, sugar beet, etc. This year it is about 355 thousand hectares.
“In general, the sowing campaign was successful. First, serious preparatory work was carried out in the winter period - training of personnel and equipment preparation. The weather conditions for the first stage of the growing season were not bad - precipitation and, in general, the temperature regime was good enough. The field work was carried out well, ”concluded Gabdrakhmanov, adding that during the sowing season, over 10 thousand tractors were working on the fields.
