Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov visited the Spassky district of Tatarstan. Marat Akhmetov was accompanied by the head of the Spassky municipal district Kamil Nugayev.
During the working visit, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized with the progress of spring field work in the farms of the region and talked with the heads of farms, investors, heads of rural settlements and residents of Spassky municipal district. The meeting was held in the fields of settlement Yambuhtino sown with perennial grasses and spring wheat. The Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues Airat Khairullin also took part in it.
The head of the district Kamil Nugayev reported that the sowing campaign in the district was fully completed. The spring season is held on an area of 40.5 thousand hectares, including spring grain - 21.2 thousand hectares: barley - 9.9 thousand hectares, wheat - 4.7 thousand hectares, oats - 1.2 thousand hectares, sunflower - 12.2 thousand hectares. Also, flax and soybeans are sown on 1 thousand ha. The area of winter crops is 21.5 thousand hectares. The loss was about 17%.
The possibility of dead crops’ compensation from the state became the main subject of discussion during the meeting. Marat Akhmetov listened attentively to the farmers and explained that a similar situation is observed in 4 regions of Russia. A letter was sent to the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev about the introduction of an emergency situation regime in Tatarstan in connection with the death of winter crops. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is accepting documents from affected agricultural organizations.
During the event, Marat Akhmetov heard the proposals of farm managers about the situation on the ground and answered questions from residents of the district. At the end of the meeting he wished the locals a successful bread year.
