Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan held a meeting with agricultural producers of the republic on the export of products of the agro-industrial complex.
Opening the event, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov noted that in the coming period, the export orientation of the activities of the agro-industrial complex should be significantly strengthened.
“So far, our exports amount to about 170 million dollars, but considering that the republic traditionally ranks among the leaders in terms of gross agricultural output along with more southern regions - Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod and Rostov Oblasts, I think this task is feasible for us”, - emphasized Marat Akhmetov.
The Minister noted that the time and potential for production growth of the republic is huge. And the further increase in the volume of agricultural production will be connected with the solution of export tasks.
First Deputy Minister Nikolai Titov continued: “The development of exports of agricultural products of the republic is a matter of our daily attention. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic signed an agreement on the implementation of a regional project. A draft map on the development of the export of agricultural products has been prepared, a list of exported products and forecast export volumes for 2019 for large enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic have been compiled. ”
He also noted that for the export development, state support is provided in the form of additional funds under the following items:

“They certainly contribute to the promotion of products, but we need to combine our efforts and create some kind of cooperation.” This will increase our competitiveness and ensure systematic export of products, ”said Nikolay Titov at the end of his speech.
