Tatarstan confidently leads among Russian regions in daily milk sales

According to the operative data of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia on May 6, the maximum sales volumes of milk per day were reached in the Republic of Tatarstan - 3.5 thousand tons. The Krasnodar Territory is on the second place - 2.7 thousand tons, and the Voronezh Region takes the third place - 2.2 thousand tons.

The top 10 regions in terms of daily milk sales also include the Kirov region (1.8 thousand tons), Sverdlovsk (1.7 thousand tons), Novosibirsk (1.7 thousand tons), Leningrad (1.6 thousand) tons), Belgorod (1.6 thousand tons), Moscow (1.5 thousand tons), Nizhny Novgorod (1.4 thousand tons), Vologda (1.3 thousand tons), Ryazan (1.1 thousand tons) and Tyumen (1.1 thousand tons) regions.

The average daily milk yield per cow in the agricultural organizations of the country was 17.07 kg, which is 0.96 kg more than last year.

“In the republic, as of May 15, the gross daily milk yield in agricultural organizations is 3,755.5 tons, which is 146.1 tons or 4.1% more than for the same date last year,” said the head of the department of the development of livestock industries.

It should be noted that dairy cattle breeding is one of the priorities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and there are positive results, thanks to the implementation by the Ministry of measures to support the production and sale of milk in the republic.
