President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov familiarized himself with the sowing campaign in the Yelabuga municipal district.
Accompanied by Marat Akhmetov and the head of the Yelabuga municipal district Gennady Emelyanov, Rustam Minnikhanov from a helicopter examined the fields near the village.
On the field of perennial grasses, a meeting was held with heads of farms, investors of the agro-industrial complex and heads of rural settlements of the district.
The head of the Yelabuga municipal district reported that the sowing campaign passes on time. The northern spring is conducted in the region on an area of 36.5 thousand hectares, incl. spring grain - 23.8 thousand hectares: barley - 8.7 thousand hectares, wheat - 10.9 thousand hectares, oats - 1.1 thousand hectares, sunflower - 0.2 thousand hectares. Fertilizing was carried on an area of 13.3 thousand hectares.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov said that the Yelabuga district has good performance.
A small exhibition of products of local agricultural producers was also organized here.
Rustam Minnikhanov wished the Yelabuga grain growers a good completion of the sowing season and good harvests.
