On April 17, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican Olympiad of Young Inventors “My Little Homeland” was held at the Kazan State Agrarian University.
More than 120 schoolchildren from more than 20 districts of the republic took part in the competition. The largest number of projects came from Alkeyevsky, Vysokogorsky, Bugulminsky, Kukmorsky and Yutazinsky districts.
Before the event, students watched a short film about the University and entered the educational institution. In a welcoming speech to young inventors, the vice rector of the KSAU Rustam Nizamov noted that each of the students who came here deserves respect and the victory. “Your parents, teachers, mentors and friends can be proud of you. We are also proud of you, he said, expressing the hope that the inventions will be integrated into the agricultural sector and wishing the children success in the presentation of their projects.
Pupils presented their projects in Russian and Tatar languages. Among their inventions were models of agricultural machinery of manual control, models of tractors and mowers, innovative greenhouses, means of rehabilitating people with disabilities, systems for collecting and recycling garbage, and much more. More than 50 children became the prize-winners of the Olympiad.
Schoolchildren who did not take prizes were not upset. “It was interesting to talk with like-minded people, to present my project in an adult way and learn about the University,” say young inventors, leafing through the booklets and choosing the future faculty for admission.
