The 3rd of April Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Habipov gave a lecture at the Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named by Bauman on the topic "Problems of development of medium and small businesses in the agricultural sector and their solutions."

"The key task of the Ministry is to further increase the business activity of the population, creating comfortable conditions for the small and medium-sized businesses in the countryside," said the deputy minister.

The development of medium and small businesses in the agro-industrial complex of the republic is promoted by great state support - over 2 billion rubles annually. The support is based on grants to farmers and cooperatives (878 million rubles in 2018), subsidies for private farms (528 million rubles in 2018). For 7 years by grant programs to support novice farmers 991 collective farms won grants 2.1 billion rubles. In 2018 170 collective farms won grants for 562 million rubles.

Rishat Khabipov told about the support programs for young specialists in rural areas and scholarship programs. “Coming to work at the village after graduating from the university, the young specialist receives from the Ministry“ lifting ”in the amount of 300 thousand rubles, as well as a monthly surcharge to the basic salary at the place of work in the amount of the minimum wage (from January 1, 2019 the minimum wage in the Russian Federation is 11 280 rubles per month) during the year. In addition, there is a subsidy for the purchase or construction of housing, ”said the Deputy Minister.

Students actively asked questions, were interested in the details of various programs and discussed ways of further interaction.

It should be noted that meetings in such a format help students to form the complete picture of the prospects in the countryside and make a choice of their future place of work.
