On March 20, Nikolay Titov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting took place in the Palace of farmers. From the Uzbek side, the main researcher of JSC Paxtasanoat ilmiy markazi, a representative of the Tatar diaspora in Uzbekistan, Candidate of Technical Sciences Ravil Yunusov and deputy chairman of the board of JSC Uzpakhtasanoat Azamat Soltanov took part in the event.
The meeting was opened by First Deputy Minister Nikolay Titov. “We are glad to welcome you on our Tatarstan land,” he said. Nikolay Titov told about the features of the agro-industrial complex of the republic and about the conditions of agriculture in Tatarstan.
In turn, the guests spoke about the production of crops in their republic, paying particular attention to the cotton industry, the attractiveness of which is explained by favorable weather conditions for growing raw materials and the high quality of cotton fiber produced. It was stated that integrated processing of raw cotton, ensuring the production of finished products with high added value, is not sufficiently developed in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Uzbek side sees the solution of this issue in the expansion of international integration, the creation of joint ventures and the implementation of new technical and investment projects to create a seed cotton cluster in the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Then, during the meeting, the parties exchanged their experiences and discussed the prospects for further cooperation in various areas of the agro-industrial complex.
