In the film “Zuleikha opens her eyes,” the main character will ride a Tatar horse to the Kremlin
These days, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan takes part in the shooting of the historical film “Zuleikha opens his eyes” based on the work by Guzel Yakhina.
So, the 18th February the shooting took place in the Kazan Kremlin. With the assistance of the Ministry, 12 horses including Tatar breed were delivered for filming. Grooms with horses from Arsky, Alekseevsky, Slobodsky, Pestrechinsky, Tyulyachinsky districts were brought here and dressed in costumes of 30s.
It is noteworthy that in the film Zuleikha comes to the Kazan Kremlin on a horse of the Tatar breed. The fact is that our republic is actively working on the revival of the Tatar breed of horses. Horse breeders of the republic recreated a breed known by historians from the time of Genghis Khan, and at the end of last year it was officially included in the register.
