Today, within the framework of the exhibition of the agro-industrial complex and processing industry, the youth forum “Business in the countryside - real opportunities and prospects for development” was held, bringing together more than 700 participants: university students and active youth.
“The republic is provided with all types of agricultural products, its production uses advanced technologies, and this is the result of the labor of those who studied before you, but your time will come very soon,” Marat Nizamutdinov, director of the Kazan Institute of Economics, told the audience.
During the forum, businessmen who opened their own business in the village spoke about their experience.
Robert Dimitriev from Kukmorsky District, a graduate of the Veterinary Academy, told how he returned to his native village after his studies, helped his father, gained experience and opened his own dairy farm, using state support under the Family Farms program, purchased equipment under the 40/60 program and pedigree with state subsidies. Today, he has 300 heads of cattle on his farm, more than 1.5 tons of milk sold every day, 7 people work on the farm, and up to 17 people work on seasonal work. “The one who takes up business in the village carries a serious social burden and responsibility,” he notes, and waits for all willing students to practice.
The students were interested if it is possible to open a business without state support, loans and having only monthly salary as initial capital.
Alim Galmullin from Sabinsky district spoke about this and shared his own experience. He graduated from the Agrarian University, under the program from the university studied in America and with his wife they decided to start their own business. The initial capital is a garage and 9 thousand rubles. They cultivated fruit plants, engaged in landscape design, launched an online store, delivered everything by their car. To grow and develop they traveled around Europe and America, studied foreign experience. Today they have their own garden center. “Our main task is to awaken the love of nature in people,” says Alim Galmullin. He also noted the importance of creating good conditions for workers, and invited students to practice with him, noting that he would send the most active students to America for an internship, there is an agreement with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology already signed. It is noteworthy that for opening a business Alim Galmullin did not use loans or someone’s help.
They also told about the Enterprise Factory, a unique project, thanks to which, having received free training with a mentor for 3 months, more than 800 people opened their own businesses. One of the graduates of the Factory is Chulpan Minebayeva from Nizhnekamsk, who several days earlier became the winner of the contest “Woman of the Year” in the nomination “Business Lady”. She worked for a long time on one of the industrial giants of the city, moved up the career ladder, but always lived with a dream about her own business. The idea was suggested by the eldest son, proposing to put a mini-cheese factory for their own use. She was trained by the Crimean and Italian cheese-makers in Moscow and her enthusiasm turned into a real business. Chulpan Minebayeva is also waiting students for practice and is ready to teach anyone to make cheeses. “Do not waste your precious time, you have so many opportunities!” She says to the students.
A year ago, Gulnara Shamsieva participated in the Volga agro-industrial forum and after that, while studying at the Enterprise, she opened a farm, applied for a grant and started producing meat products from horse meat without chemical additives. “My child could eat only horse meat because of the allergy. We started growing for ourselves, and then it turned into something more”, Gulnara Shamsieva shares her personal experience. “Take a step and the road will open for you” she says to young people.
Other entrepreneurs, as well as students performing their projects that they plan to implement, had a speech; they discussed their ideas, asked questions. And at the end of the event, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Rishat Habipov addressed the forum participants. He wished the young people success in new endeavors and said that the ministry is always ready to support those who are not sitting still, but are really hard-working.
It is difficult to describe how interesting and useful the event turned out to be. Many of students are already seriously considering their business ideas in the countryside, planning and dreaming of their plans’ implemention.
