Today, at a session in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported on the cattle breeding records of Tatarstan agricultural enterprises and farm households for 11 months of 2017.
The videoconferencing session with all municipal districts of the republic was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin also took part in it.
Thus, following the results of 11 months of the current year, 1 million 168,100 tons of milk have been produced. 805.7 million eggs, 346,000 tons of cattle and poultry have been bred, including 90,000 tons of livestock, 177,500 tons of poultry and 76,300 tons of swine.
The following districts are showing the increase in production: Baltasi (+1,466 heads), Zainsk (+1,211 heads), Kukmor (+1,194 heads) and Zelenodolsk (+901 heads).
36 districts have shown the increase in milk production. 10 best Tatarstan districts provide 75% of the gain.
“Specialists of the ministry have developed the process procedure on breeding of highly-productive first-calf heifers and scheduled a number of seminars in those Tatarstan districts which have some problems”, - said Marat Akhmetov.
Speaking about the current situation with milk, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan stated that the cost prices for milk kept falling, and they had already decreased by 9% in comparison with the previous year level. “That is a great concern for producers. The money from milk distribution are always the major working capital of households, this year it is especially important, because the prices for grain are extremely low. At the same time, the prices for diesel fuel have increased by 14%, for electricity – by 9.5%. Thus, in order to preserve at least the current level of financial provision to cover urgent expenses of households, the task for 2018 is to increase milk production at 5% minimum”, - said Marat Akhmetov.
Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan stated that special attention should be paid to dairy cattle breeding. In his turn, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov asked the heads of those municipal districts, which fall behind, to work hard and improve the situation.
