Ground variety check of seeds of winter wheat, barley and pea was carried out by specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

The commission which included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the branch of the FSBI “State Variety Commission” of the Republic of Tatarstan, the branch of the FSBI “Russian Agricultural Center” of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of “Elite Tatarstan seeds” Association summed up the ground variety check of seeds of winter wheat, barley and pea. Inspection was carried out on the state rarity plots of Zainsk, Arsk and Kukmor municipal districts. The results showed that on Zainsk rarity plot 14 out of 95 samples failed to meet the requirements of purity of variety, on Arsk rarity plot 9 out of 38 samples failed the to the requirements and on Kukmor rarity plot 7 out of 87 samples failed to meet the requirements of variety purity.

Such inspection helps to find out unfair suppliers of seeds of agricultural crops. The ground variety check of seeds of spring wheat will be carried out in the second decade of August.
