Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan, together with the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration and the Main Veterinary Directorate, held a meeting of the republican headquarters to prevent the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza. All municipal districts of the republic joined the event in the video conference mode.

Sales of live chickens, ducks and geese to private farms of the republic are intensified in the republic with the onset of the warm season and the beginning of the summer season. Realization goes both in specially designated and unauthorized points of sale. Often there are cases when a car loaded with birds moves from one place to another. For this reason, in 2018, cases of avian influenza were recorded in six districts of the Trans-Volga zone of the republic.
