Manufacturing process management of Kazan dairy plant was discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

A session devoted to manufacturing process management at Kazan dairy plat took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, today. The following officials participated in it: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Director General at “Kosmos Group” Holding company Andey Shutov, Deputy Director General – Vise President – Chief Executive at OAO “Milkom” Anatoliy Maksimov, Director General at OOO “Kazan dairy plant” Alexander Gabdrakhmanov, chiefs of local agricultural directorates, directors of republican households.

It is worth reminding that Kazan dairy plant will be included into “Kosmos Group” sub-holding company dealing with milk processing, which is represented by “Milkom” company as the 6th manufacturing site. “It is a strategic matter for our agricultural producers, - noted Minister of Agriculture and Food fo eth republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov. – For a long period of time there has been a monopoly of a big milk processing plant in the republic. Due to restructuring of VAMIN company, several independent owners have appeared, including a promising strategic investor for Kazan dairy plant”.

Director General Andey Shutov spoke in details about “Kosmos Group” holding company. He informed that the holding included the largest agro-industrial enterprises of Udmurtia, Perm Region, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. The profit of the holding company reached 67.7 billion rubles in 2016. Beside milk processing, “Kosmos Group” is dealing with processing of poultry, pork, fish and all-mash production. The products are districbuted into 66 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as exported into Kazakhstan and Belorussia.

“Acquisition of Kazan dairy plant is a very important step in development of our business”, - emphasized Andrey Shutov.

Anatoliy Maksimov informed the participants of the session about activities of OAO “Milkom”. According to his words, the enterprise includes 5 plants: “Sarapul-moloko”, “Sozvezdie” Perm Cold Store Complex”, “Kezsk cheese plant”, “Izhmoloko” and “Glazov-moloko”. Kazan dairy plant will become the 6th one in the structure of the enterprise. The total amount of processed raw product reached 344,300 tons of milk in 2016. “Over 200 milk producers in 5 Russian regions cooperate withus. We seek to long-term mutual cooperation, we are ready to make advances and pay profound attention to every issue. There is the so-called advancing principle, when milk distributors can lend money and provide milk later. The average advancing of the enterprise is over 800 million rubles”, - stated Anatoliy Maksimov.

Alexander Gabdrakhimov presented a work plan of Kazan dairy plant. “It is planned to start production in the second half of September. Manufactured products will be branded as “Kazan dairy plant – Milk river”, - he said. – We are going to develop this manufacturing site. In September we are going to process 150 tons of milk a day, in December – 250-300 tons and in July 2018 – 500 tons. In July 2019 we are going to reach the figure of 750 tons of processed milk a day, in July 2020 – 1,000 tons.

After that, the participants of the session discussed prospects of development of Kazan dairy plant, opportunities to distribute milk to the enterprise and some other vital issues.
