9 July 2021, Friday

Today, the Agrobiotechnopark of the Kazan State Agrarian University hosted the Field Day, which has already become traditional for both the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and scientists, as well as agricultural producers of the republic. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, representatives of agricultural administrations of municipal districts.

"Agrobiotechnopark" of Kazan State Agrarian University is an intellectual and technological platform for innovative development of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan on the basis of combining the scientific and educational potential and resources of leading professional education institutions, research organizations, agricultural producers and agribusiness.  Geographically, it is located on the territory of Narmonka LLC, not far from Kazan.

There is a real laboratory on one hundred hectares, where various samples of agricultural crops are planted. This year, demonstrations of production experience and technologies were held in the following areas :" Management of the formation of the spring wheat crop", "Management of the formation of the spring barley crop" and other agricultural crops.

The Minister and the participants of the event were presented with the capabilities of a soil scanner. It is used for drawing up soil maps, determining methods of processing and designing crop rotations.

Then the participants were shown the work of an unmanned tractor. The mechanic controlled the machine using a tablet computer.  The developers of the management system are teachers and employees of the Institute of Mechanization and Technical Service of the Kazan State Agrarian University. The scientists used a conventional tractor, installed additional equipment: a video camera, a lidar (detection and range determination system) and an electronic control unit.

Then Marat Zyabbarov examined field experiments on allotment crops using various technologies for the cultivation of basic and non-traditional crops for the republic.

"This is a great platform of the agrarian University and a huge volume of work is being done here. At the plots that we examined, various companies presented numerous ways of processing crops and their impact on the yield in the current conditions. And all this is economically justified, supported by figures. I want to notice that those who are seriously engaged in crop production, who invest, they are not afraid of natural disasters, they will get the results that they have planned," the Minister stressed, answering journalists ' questions.

Marat Zyabbarov highly appreciated the role of such platforms in the process of teaching students of an agricultural university.
