Measures to prevent the spread of African swine fever were discussed at the operational headquarters

Today in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan a meeting of the republican headquarters was held to prevent the spread of African swine fever at the territory of the republic.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

“The work of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory is organized around the clock. In total, in the period from December 27 to December 29, 314 samples from wild boars shot were received for research. All have a negative result. One sample from the carcass of a wild boar was received from the Aksubaevsky district. The result is also negative. During holidays, the work of the veterinary laboratory is organized around the clock, ”said Almaz Khisamutdinov, head of the Main Veterinary Directorate of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan

As of December 30, no new cases of wild boar carcasses have been identified in the Yelabuga region. The presidential decree on the introduction of quarantine on the outbreak in this area has been signed. Constant monitoring of the situation has been organized. On December 29, the ARRIAH of the city of Vladimir received a confirmation of the diagnosis of African swine fever in wild boars shot in the hunting grounds of the Zainsk region. Documents on the introduction of quarantine in the Zainsky district are being signed.

To date, measures to alienate livestock in the Zainsky district have been completed. So, for example, in the village of Neratovka, 9 heads were seized. No pigs were found in the rest of the settlements.

The spread of infection among wild boars continues in neighboring regions. From 22 to 28 December, 3 more outbreaks were identified in the Samara region. Yesterday, a message was received about the identification of a focus among wild boars in the hunting grounds of the Krasnochetay region of the Chuvash Republic.
